Kuwacha, or mulberry leaf tea, is a remarkable herbal tea known for its wide range of health benefits and delightful flavor. Naturally caffeine-free, Kuwacha can be enjoyed any time of day. As a powder, it can be prepared the same way as matcha, making it a great substitute for those who are caffeine sensitive and appreciate the ritual of whisking tea.
Our Kuwacha was grown by the Kawaji family in Kagoshima. This family has been growing organic teas since 1988 and even make their own slightly fermented fertilizer. The region of Kagoshima where it was grown has a high temperature difference between day and night which helps the tea develop a deeper flavor and the local volcanic ash-based soils allow for good drainage, which is vital for growing healthy plants.

i drink this as a cup of tea, occasionally prepared as matcha and/or matcha latte. it is prepared well, acts as if a matcha powder. flavor is greener than matcha, almost like a cross between matcha and wheatgrass. i love it, my friends love it, and am grateful it's available to us!

Organic Kuwacha
I have heard of mulberry and was curious to try it. It has a unique flavor and I find that I need to add a touch of honey to it. Mixes well, I prepare it as I would matcha. Not an everyday tea for me, but one I like for its health benefits.

Green tea
One of my new favorite teas.
Caffine free is also a plus.
I drink mine warm after letting it cools down.
Also a very healthy tea blend being mulberry.

Love
I am so happy to have found this! I absolutely love matcha, but I can’t have caffeine. I missed drinking it so much. This is so similar!! Some people say it’s like matcha, but doesn’t have the grassy flavor. I disagree, when I tried it plain it actually tasted more grassy to me, but when I make it as a latte it’s almost identical!

Delicious
Delicious and very similar to matcha in taste and color. I wish it was offered in a bigger size though.

Kuwacha Organic
After talking with a farmer's market vendor about drinking Kuwacha for digestive help, I sought to buy this tea. It's very smooth and tasty. I like that it has no caffeine and high calcium content (which I need as a 66 yo female. I sometimes dilute it and keep in a glass pitcher in my refrigerator. Pouring it over ice on a hot/humid day is refreshing. I'm very pleased about the experience and told my friends and family about it.

50g Organic Kuwacha
The kuwacha has a wonderful, refreshing taste that makes every sip a pleasure. I drink it ice cold and use filtered water as the liquid base. It’s nutty and somewhat sweetish. If you are looking for a delightful tea, Sugimoto’s organic Kuwacha stands out!

Sugimoto rocks!
I tried the Organic Kuwacha and I really like the taste of this tea. It’s even better in my new Kumidashi Yunomi cup :) The health benefits of green teas is a good thing. To me ancient Japanese tradition in whisking tea and using traditional tea ware is a big thing.
