Named Kochi (東風), meaning “eastern wind,” this ceremonial matcha reflects the sense of renewal associated with the early harvest. Selected from the first flush, Kochi captures the freshness and vibrancy of young spring leaves, offering a bright, clear expression in the bowl.
Smooth and well-balanced, Kochi opens with gentle umami and a natural sweetness that feels light yet composed. Its lively character makes it especially suited for traditional whisked preparation, while its clarity and depth also lend themselves well to a more refined matcha latte.
About the New Packaging
The central motif of our new packaging is the mizuhiki knot. Mizuhiki is a traditional Japanese decorative cord, used to mark moments of gratitude, respect, and connection. On our packaging, it serves as a quiet symbol of these values.
To us, the mizuhiki represents the relationships that shape our tea, from the growers who cultivate the leaves, to our own team who carefully finish and pack them, and ultimately to those who enjoy them. Each knot reflects intention and care, reinforcing the idea that tea is not simply a product, but a connection between people, place, and time.
